Event Details
A key consideration of being drought prepared is about having access to enough good quality stock & domestic (S&D) water, and the ability to get it to where you need it on-farm, when you need it there. A well thought out Farm Water Management Plan will help you quantify your S&D needs and plan your S&D on-farm infrastructure to ensure these needs are met both in drought and at peak production.
This workshop will cover:
- Current S&D water storage capacity & water demand
- Water quality and the effect on production
- S&D water budgeting
- Stock water management planning
- How to get water to where you need it on your property
- Opportunities available to fund changes to your farm water infrastructure
Join experts Adrian Smith from AKS Advisory and Rebecca Stacey from Local Land Services to answer your questions and be supported to develop your own Farm Water Management Plan.
Morning tea and lunch will be provided.
